CAT COLLARS AT EBAY UK AND EBAY USA |
|
|
Pet Shops stock a wide variety of collars and choice is very much personal preference.
Even though a kitten should not be allowed out until its course of vaccinations are complete it is a good idea to get it used to a collar whilst in the house. However, be sure not to fasten any collar too tightly and check that it does not become tight as the kitten grows.
Even if a cat is to be kept indoors it is wise to still fit a collar and identity tag in case the cat should escape through an open door.
Safety collars are best used - these include a short piece of elastic which allows the collar to stretch enabling a cat to free itself from its collar if it becomes accidentally trapped by its collar.
Some form of identity tag should be fixed to the collar which can help should the cat become lost or involved in an accident.
Some form of bell fixed to the collar can also be useful as it will hinder the cat when out hunting and avoid the bringing home of prize catches. |
