Little Martha has unexpectedly passed away. I found her outside her box, cold, limp and unresponsive when I got home from work this morning. I could see that she was still breathing but in a very rapid and shallow manner. I held her in my lap for almost an hour telling her it was okay if she needed to go when she finally breathed her last.
Her passing was truly unexpected. We have been so concerned with Dobby and Tasha's deteriorating condition that Martha's passing came as a most unwelcome surprise. She was getting older and did have her own health issues such as a significant loss of mobility in her back legs and a recent broken upper tooth but she seemed to be just fine otherwise.
I will truly miss that stubborn and mischievous little girl. She was always getting into places she shouldn't but you had to love her sense of adventure. She never did like to be held for very long and would gently put her teeth around my finger to let me know when she had had enough. She was just too sweet to want to do any harm. They just don't come any sweeter.
Goodbye Martha, I will miss your cute little pug nose and great big eyes. In my eyes you were one of the cutest little girls I've ever had the priviledge to have.

Im so sorry to hear that Martha has unexpectantly gone to the bridge. Im sure she will never forget how much you loved and cared for her.

| Scott, Martha was a true example of a great free spirited fluff ball. I adore all her pictures but the first one as a baby just melts my heart. I also had a great giggle looking at the face in the picture where she wants to be let down. so expressive, almost human if not more. You have captured her wonderful personality in every picture and I really understand why you are going to miss her so much. |

I'm so sorry Scott, Martha was a little sweetheart. She obviously had a fantastic personality, you've captured it so well in all of those photos. Sweet dreams little one.

So very sorry to read about poor Martha. To echo Sunny's comments, I too loved the photo of Martha letting you know she wanted to be put down... I've never known a hammy to show so much expression!
