Well i took Nougat to get spayed this morning, i'll ring the vet at 1.30 to see how she is then pick her up at 3pm. Estimate cost £74 ouch. It's a shame to clean her part of the hutch out now after she gone to a lot of hard work making her nest (best one yet). She might even stop growling at me too after the op, i hope she's as easy as fudge was when he got neutered.

Ahhhh, she'll be fine Tracy. The vet might suggest that you bring her indoors for tonight to keep her warm, I was told that when Twinkle was spayed. I found that Twinkle didn't eat for about 24 hours after her operation but she soon got back to normal. I bet you'll find that Nougat will stop growling at you soon!! I had the same thing with Twinkle but she doesn't do it anymore since she was spayed! |

Thanks you 2. What should i use for her bedding? at the moment she has hay but i thought that the hay might be too prickly for her, would do you suggest? Tracy |

Good luck today Nougat, im sure everything will be fine.
How old is she, she looks quite big looking at the picture and love her nest. Im hoping to get Sammy done in a few weeks and am worrying already but i know i always worry for nothing.
As to what you could use for bedding while she recovers, im not too sure being new to this myself but maybe a soft blanket or towel - but im sure all the other guys will have some good ideas.
Let us know when she is home safe and sound x |

Hi Caz, Nougat is 10 months old and yes she's very over weight due to the previous owners feeding her choc biscuits and crisps. In asda they have some bedding that's called snooze it looks like cottonwool for rabbits, mice and hampsters i wonder if this would be ok for her,.....Awwww i want her back now ...hurry up 3pm or at least 1.30 when i can ring and ask how she is. |

| Oh my god why do people fed their pets human food - Tut tut!! Even so she is very beautiful and still quite young, plenty of time to run that extra fat off. The cotton wool may be good but i dont want to OK it just in case. you must be so anxious and sitting there watching the minutes pass. She will be home tonight though and you will have wondered why you worried so much, but we all do - we stress ourselves out so much for our lovely pets, do you think they worry about us as much - NOPE. Please keep us updated and maybe some more pictures of the little girl when she has recovered x |

When I had Smokey spayed I put her in the hall and she slept on an old duvet, topped with a towel. I kept her in for 48 hours, the first night I allowed her boyfriend Inky in to have a little snuggle (he was so gentle, he just sat and licked her face) but then she slept alone. She didn't eat anything much for the first 24 hours and it wasn't until she was back in the playhouse with Inky that she started to eat properly. I kept them on a couple of old duvets and towels (dead easy to clean out) for about 10 days, to give her a chance to heal.
I would say that Inky was already neutered and is extremely gentle, I wouldn't have let him in with her after the op if I'd thought that he would do anything. |

| When you pick her up the vet may well have some extra soft bedding that you can buy. I'm sure everything's gone well and you'll soon be on the long trek to collect her. |

Instead of a prezzie why don't you make a date and go out for coffee and cake and a natter(your treat of course). I reckon that's a REALY nice prezzie! What could be nicer.. coffee and cake with a mate!! OOOPPS off topic, eh? SO.. Have a safe journey to pick up Nougat.. |
