I lost my little budgie yesterday (his nickname was Sunny Sunshine as he was always so vocal and such a happy little bird). .
Although he was a caged bird still was so sweet behind bars and sadly our favorite of the two (Cosmo is cool, but still freaks when I replace the food dishes or put my hand in the cage ).
My budgies were my 18th Anniversary present and so sad that as of this Tuesday he would have been with us 7 years. Sunny did have a slight problem as he was a little hunched backed and for the past two years his beak started overgrowing (which I had trimmed at a bird store monthly) and feel that an underlying problem is what took him. Sweet dreams little my little Sunny Sunshine xxoo.
I don't have many pictures of him but here are 3 of my favorite ones .
His favorite sleeping position ...
I opened the door of the cage to capture this picture ...
One morning after feeding some birds saw a green budgie still sitting on my fence so I quickly opened the window, put my birds cage there and he flew in my house. He became Sunny and Cosmo's good friend for the next 2 years until he passed. Cosmo is on the right, Sunny in the middle and Buster on the left .
I am really sorry for you loss. He was beautiful. Rest in peace and wings high over the bridge.
