Many countries have Gerbil Clubs or Pet Clubs that hold regular shows.
These shows give gerbil owners a chance to meet and talk to other owners and breeders as well as compete in the show.
Most gerbil shows have classes for particular varieties of gerbils where the gerbils are judged against a standard for that variety. Shows often include a pets class where gerbils are judged on their overall condition and temperament enabling any gerbil owner to participate in the gerbil show with their gerbil.
