Ferret care??

Hi does anyone have any info on caring for ferrets. I am thinking of getting a pair and gave read books but would like to get some advice from someone who has or have had ferrets and what they are like as a pet and Amy other useful info about them.

My cousin has ferrets and all I know is that they need a lot of space so a big housing area and can't be kept near other small pets because of their instinct?? I go on the RSPCA website as it has good info on pet care and I think they have some info sheets on ferrets maybe if you look on there?
